Telecom Engineer

General Requirements:
 A Degree (S1) in telecommunications, electronic engineering or related area

Experience in the following areas:

• PABX, VOIP, IP telephony

• LAN, WAN, TCP/IP networks

• Cisco, Mera MVTS, Asterisk

• SIP. H323, MGCP, SS7
   

Experience in the following would be an advantage:

• Access control systems

• Billing systems

• Messaging and IVR systems

 

Other skills:

• Able to create and document specifications and designs

• Able to write proposals

• Good English

• Able to work unsupervised
   

Specific Requirements for Telecom Engineer:

• At Least 3 years of working experience in designing, hands-on commissioning telecommunication systems

• Cisco/Mera/Asterisk/ IPPBX, gateways, routers and soft-switches

• 1 - 3 years of related working experience

• Able to perform 2nd/3rd level support for voice services

• Knowledge of Cisco/Nortel/& other IP phones

• Experience in troubleshooting

• Able to do hands on cabling, installation and configuration

Systems Administrator - Linux

General Requirements:
 A Degree in Computer science, telecommunications, related area, At least 1-3 years in installation , system management
 

Experience in the following areas:

• Skill Server : Unix, Linux (Red hat, Sun Solaris), Windows2003 Server, Application Server : Apache, Tomcat, Websphere, MySQL, Networking Lan, Wan, TCP/IP

Job Description:

• To perform Sun Solaris and RedHat Linux system administration, troubleshooting and capacity planning to ensure the highest reliability and availability;

• To support and administrate the SAN and NetBackup;

• To perform daily system monitoring and tuning function and troubleshoot with application teams and external vendors when problem arises;

• To assist in the implementation of new infrastructure projects such as Unix server replacement;

• To write and maintain system technical documentation including inventory list and installation guidelines; and

• To work on unix re-engineering processes

 

Specific Requirements for Telecom Engineer:

• At Least 3 years of working experience in designing, hands-on Teaching and commissioning telecommunication systems

• Cisco/Clarent/Mera MVTSII IPPBX, gateways, routers and soft-switches
